Lord I love September and how perfectly its first day dawned – with crisp fresh air and a golden sun slanting through the trees to leave fluttering emeralds in the forest canopy outside my bedroom window.  I am happy to report that on the eve of the Birthday Month TheQueen at last achieved success knitting a border onto the cashmere shawl. I have 5 rows attached at this point and expect to be able to post a photo of my progress in a very short time. What more could a knitter ask for on the first day of her Birtday Month?
