Like The Queen
Whatever happens to strike my fancy, but surely some sort of fiber content.

Oh great! This weekend is the Canadian Thanksgiving and I'm off to spend it in Edmonton with my DD and 15 of her closest friends -- including babies and other general noise-makers. Ms. Horoscope will just have to take a rain check -- even though she's right: I've had a full week and came home from KnitNight last night totally exhausted...

Have a great Fibre Festival!

Hugs,

Come here me tell fiber folktales! 3:30 on Saturday at the Fall Fiber Festival of Virginia

Heh heh. No point in having a blog and not using it to advertise, hmmm?

Even if MsHoroscope has this to say to me and all my Virgo sisters and brothers:

This is the time to withdraw and retreat, so that you can regroup emotionally. The past few days have most likely been pretty action packed one way or another - either that or you've been dealing with so many people you're just plain exhausted. Now comes the fallout and the chance that you're going to be feeling over-sensitive, as the Moon moves through your 12th House, the most delicate part of your chart and your psyche. If you want to be alone today, tonight and/or on the weekend, just say so. Doing something quiet, whether it's yoga or day dreaming, for example, will be just what the skies ordered.

Fat chance for that. I'm going to be busy with people all weekend. Not that the days haven't been busy and action packed and full this week. Not that yesterday afternoon I didn't run out of energy. It came back this morning. Let us hope, though, that my tender feelings stay strong and that, since Mercury is about to go retrograde soon – I get all the appraisers lined up for the library Friends' Antique Roadshow in November – and all the publicity stuff – and my attitude gets set on the calm&patient button.

And other than that, I plan to have a ton-0-fun the whole weekend long – no matter what weather we have. Even heat can't be as bad as last year's mud-bog. I'll be leaving long about 6 a.m. tomorrow, though traffic on Rt. 3 west of F'burg is never very bad in the wee hours of Saturday morning. J will set up today so I'm not under any pressure to be there way early. And I have enough of the Holiday Charmer sock done to advertise the pattern, but not so much I won't have some mindless knitting to do at the fair. I'm on the all-stockinette foot part. I blocked the cuff last night and it is still wet but drying in the bathroom, or I would take a photo and share with you. You will just have to wait.

But, since I don't have any good knitting photos and I want to save the Yard Full of Bones picture for a date closer to Halloween and I seem to have run out of witty clever astounding things to say, I will share with you this quiz I stole from C's blog.

You are Strength

Courage, strength, fortitude. Power not arrested in the act of judgement, but passing on to further action, sometimes obstinacy.

This is a card of courage and energy. It represents both the Lion's hot, roaring energy, and the Maiden's steadfast will. The innocent Maiden is unafraid, undaunted, and indomitable. In some cards she opens the lion's mouth, in others she shuts it. Either way, she proves that inner strength is more powerful than raw physical strength. That forces can be controlled and used to score a victory is very close to the message of the Chariot, which might be why, in some decks, it is Justice that is card 8 instead of Strength. With strength you can control not only the situation, but yourself. It is a card about anger and impulse management, about creative answers, leadership and maintaining one's personal honor. It can also stand for a steadfast friend.
